About Tiffany
French is one part of a six-year tutoring career during which I have taught 260 students, many of them adult beginners nervous about learning a new language later in life. My own approach to language teaching is shaped heavily by my background in vocal and performance training, since I understand deeply how vulnerable it feels to use your voice, whether singing or speaking a foreign language, in front of someone else. I am warm, patient, and genuinely encouraging in every lesson, treating early mistakes as useful information rather than failures. Many of my students arrive convinced they are simply bad at languages, and helping them see real progress within just a few sessions is something I take great pride in. I stay available between lessons for quick questions, since momentum matters enormously in early language learning.

My French lessons prioritize natural conversation from the very first session, since I believe confidence in speaking removes most of the fear that blocks long-term progress. Grammar is introduced gradually through patterns students notice themselves in conversation, rather than memorized tables presented in isolation. I keep the atmosphere relaxed and encouraging, treating mistakes as a normal and expected part of learning rather than something to fear. Vocabulary is grouped around topics students genuinely care about, whether that is travel, hobbies, or daily life, since personal relevance dramatically improves retention. Every lesson ends with a short informal conversation entirely in French, giving students a low-pressure chance to apply what they just learned.
