About Ariana

For travelers and exam candidates, language learning can sometimes feel like a world of rigid memorization—until you hear the rhythm of a Cuban son. I still remember the scent of polished wood and old sheet music in the rooms where I first discovered how naturally words and melodies could come together.

With 13 years of teaching experience, I help teens and adults develop Spanish while building a deeper connection with Latin American culture. I hold a BA in Latin American Music from Berklee College of Music and am comfortable teaching both Castilian and Latin American varieties of Spanish. Whether you’re learning everyday expressions, preparing for the DELE exams, or working on your accent, our lessons are grounded in consistent, meaningful conversation practice.

Culture is at the heart of my approach. I want you to understand not only *what* we say, but *why* we say it that way. This creates a bridge between grammar and genuine human connection, while my experience as a native Spanish speaker allows me to offer thoughtful, natural corrections along the way.

About the lesson

When you step into your first session, you’ll notice that we begin by listening to the rhythm and cadence of the language rather than simply drilling verbs. It’s like tuning an instrument before playing the first note.

My lessons are designed for learners seeking conversational fluency or focused exam preparation. Through role-play, we recreate real-life situations—especially useful for travellers—so you can build confidence using Spanish naturally and spontaneously.

I also incorporate weekly conversation recordings that we review together, allowing us to track your progress and celebrate how your Spanish evolves over time. The goal is never perfection; it’s connection. We focus on the beauty of communication and, above all, on helping you feel comfortable and confident in your own voice.
