You will start by performing a diagnostic skills check before we build the lesson plan for your specific goals. This approach ensures that we do not waste time on techniques you have already mastered.
I draw on 13 years of experience to identify exactly which strumming patterns or music theory concepts will help you progress. We will work through reading sheet music and power chords at a pace that feels productive yet achievable. My goal is to ensure you feel confident holding the guitar rather than struggling with it. I value direct communication and will always be honest about where you stand in your development.

The sound of a perfectly tuned acoustic guitar signals the start of our journey. Having taught 476 students over 13 years, I have seen every type of learner navigate the fretboard. Working professionals often come to me after years of silence to rediscover their instrument.
Intermediate learners frequently need help with lead guitar or blues progressions to break out of a creative rut. I balance the technical side with the joy of playing, keeping things grounded and articulate. Understanding how to manage your own gear, from tuning to basic maintenance, is part of our routine. My BM Music Education degree ensures that the theory we cover is actually useful for your playing.
