About Cora
Students ranging from absolute beginners to advanced orchestral players form the backbone of my 367 person client history. My primary teaching method relies on a firm approach to technique.
I bring 13 years of experience to every session. My own training through an Artist Diploma taught me that music theory and ear training are non-negotiable for success.
I emphasize intonation, spiccato and staccato bowing, and tuning by ear above all else. This process is deliberate. Bowing technique remains the most critical aspect of the craft. I have seen 367 individuals grow their skills through this precise method over 13 years.

A typical lesson feels like a technical audit where we strip away bad habits to reveal the core sound. You might assume that playing more is better, but playing correctly is the only metric that matters. During our time, I will provide free bowing and posture reference notes to guide your independent practice. My 13 years of experience allows me to spot minor errors in your intonation before they become permanent issues.
We will focus heavily on orchestral playing and refining your spiccato and staccato bowing. You will leave with a clear set of tasks to complete. Tuning by ear is required for every single session. Everything else is secondary to the quality of your sound.
