About Tessa

I study at the University of Alberta as a secondary education student in their 2nd year with a major of English and a minor of French. I have previously worked as a tutor for 4 years as well as teaching classes and programs in schools and communities for an additional 3-4 years now.

About the lesson

The teaching method I assume is one that is adaptable. I realize that not every child and student are the same and that is why each teaching approach should be tailored to the child. As a tutor, I would expect materials to be ready as well as the majority of homework done for the session other than the questions or assignments that they had difficulty on or would like me to edit. As the parent, you can expect me to debrief you at the end of each session filling you in on what we had worked on that day as well as a list of homework if I provide the student with any. Junior High: Grades 7-9
1 hour ($40)

High School: Grades 10-12
1 hour ($45)
1.5 hours ($55)
2 hours ($65)

Travel rate may fluctuate based on the distance that is necessary for travel
