About Cris
I am Prof. Criselda D.R. Ricohermoso, an Associate Professor at the Philippine Public Safety College – National Police College. With years of experience in public safety education, I teach commissioned officers of the Philippine National Police, Bureau of Jail Management and Penology, and Bureau of Fire Protection, while also serving as Campus Administrator of Western Mindanao State University – Pagadian Campus.
My teaching method combines structured lesson plans, real‑world case studies, and interactive discussions to ensure that students gain both theoretical knowledge and practical skills. A typical lesson begins with a clear conceptual overview, followed by scenario‑based exercises, and concludes with reflective synthesis activities that connect learning to professional practice.

My Teaching Method and Techniques
I approach teaching with a balance of structure and flexibility. My method emphasizes conceptual clarity, ethical grounding, and practical application. I combine lectures, case studies, and interactive discussions to ensure that learners not only understand theories but can also apply them in real‑world contexts. I integrate research‑based strategies and encourage critical thinking, reflection, and collaboration among students.
A Typical Lesson Plan
A lesson usually begins with a conceptual overview of the topic, followed by guided discussion and scenario‑based exercises. I incorporate real life examples to make lessons relevant and engaging. Each session ends with a synthesis activity—such as reflections that reinforces learning outcomes and connects theory to practice.
