About Lucas

I graduated from the Professional Theatre Program at Dawson College and have been working in the theatre, film, and television industry since 2011. I am also currently completing a Master's degree in the Education of the Arts, combining my passion for performance with a commitment to teaching and mentorship.

Preparing for an audition can be exciting, but it can also feel overwhelming. Working with a coach can help you build confidence, make stronger acting choices, and present your best work when it matters most. Whether you're auditioning for a theatre program, a professional production, or your next role, I can help you feel prepared and ready to perform.

From Shakespeare and Chekhov to Brecht and contemporary scripts, I have experience working with a wide range of styles and techniques. Having performed in over 40 stage productions as well as numerous film and television projects, I bring both professional experience and practical audition strategies to every lesson.

Over the course of my career, I have completed countless auditions for theatre, film, television, acting schools, and professional training programs. I understand firsthand the challenges, nerves, and expectations that come with auditioning, and I can help you navigate the process with confidence and authenticity.

My goal is to create a supportive and encouraging environment where you can develop your skills, discover your strengths, and approach every audition feeling prepared, confident, and ready to do your best work. I look forward to helping you take the next step in your acting journey.

About the lesson

My teaching approach is flexible and tailored to each individual performer. In acting and audition preparation, there is no one-size-fits-all method. Every audition piece presents its own unique challenges, and every actor brings different strengths, experiences, and qualities to the work.

Together, we will develop an approach that highlights what makes you unique while strengthening your technique and confidence. Whether you're working on a classical monologue, a contemporary scene, or a theatre school audition package, I will help you make clear, authentic choices that showcase your abilities.

Beyond technique, I also place a strong emphasis on mindset and personal growth. Many talented actors struggle not because of a lack of skill, but because of self-doubt, nerves, or fear of judgment. I believe that confidence can be developed, and that the way you think about yourself has a direct impact on your performance. Through our work together, you'll learn to trust your instincts, take creative risks, and approach auditions with the belief that you belong in the room and are capable of succeeding.

Acting is not only about becoming someone else—it's also about gaining a deeper understanding of yourself. Many students find that the skills they develop through acting, such as confidence, self-awareness, communication, and resilience, positively impact other areas of their lives as well.

Theatre schools and casting professionals are not only looking for strong acting skills—they are also looking for individuals with creativity, potential, and a distinct point of view. My goal is to help you bring your authentic self into the room, allowing your talent and personality to shine through in every audition.
