About Nic
I was born in South Africa but after three months my parents moved to New Zealand, where I was a resident for 17 years.
I then travelled to Australia on a surfing trip and never returned to New Zealand, eventually becoming an Australian citizen after working there as a journalist/photographer for more than 30 years.
Now I live and work in Malaysia.
I love story telling and photography, they are my passion.

Lessons will aim to be approximately one hour long and will include writing, reading and conversational learnings.
Most lessons will be conducted in facilitator style and individually adapt to age levels and capabilities.
I have more than thirty years experience as a photographer and journalist in Australia during which time I won multiple awards for writing and photography.
I was also the APN News and Media group photography co-ordinator, planning the visual story-telling training and style for over thirty photographers across regional Australia.
As a journalist I covered major events such as the 2004 Indonesian tsunami, multiple Commonwealth and Olympic Games and much much more.
