About Silvia

I understand writing more than I understand myself. Writing is the only way I can express my whole self. My passion for stories is the reason I left Italy at 18, alone, and dived headfirst into the UK’s film industry, where I earned my MA in Screenwriting and found the ground where I could finally thrive. I’m a passionate and dedicated screenwriter and script consultant with over six years of experience in the film industry, having worked with renowned companies like Netflix and Amazon Studios. With an MA in Screenwriting from MetFilm School, I bring both academic knowledge and hands-on industry experience to my work. Throughout my career, I’ve collaborated on a wide range of projects, from feature films to short films and TV shows, giving me a deep understanding of what makes a compelling, well-crafted story. I pride myself on being personable and approachable, understanding that each writer’s journey is unique. Whether you're just starting out or already have a solid foundation, I offer guidance that’s both professional and deeply supportive. My commitment to nurturing creativity, combined with a clear focus on story structure and emotional depth, ensures that you’ll receive the expertise and encouragement needed to elevate your writing to the next level.

About the lesson

My Approach to Creative Writing & Script Consultancy: A work of emotions. My approach to teaching is rooted in the belief that to truly understand and develop your story, you must first understand yourself. A story doesn’t exist in isolation; it’s a reflection of who you are, what you believe, and how you see the world. That's why my lessons are not only about structure, technique, and story elements, but also about delving into the deeper emotional layers that inform the narrative. I see each lesson as an introspective journey. Through our sessions, we’ll explore the core motivations behind your characters, their desires, and how those desires reflect your own emotional landscape. By understanding where your story truly comes from—what drives it and what it reveals about you—we can elevate it to a much deeper, more authentic level. I draw on methods like Dara Marks' Transformational Arc to help you navigate the structural elements of storytelling, but I also place a strong emphasis on personal growth. Much like the concepts in The Artist’s Way, I believe that breaking through creative blocks isn’t just about mastering techniques, but also about confronting self-doubt and cultivating self-love. This is why I approach each lesson with a deep understanding of my own journey, and I apply that same empathy and openness when working with my students. My goal is to help you discover and trust your unique voice. While we’ll dive deep into the emotional and personal layers of your work, I also provide clear guidance on critical story elements—character development, themes, structure, and motivation. This balanced approach ensures that your story resonates both emotionally and structurally, making it compelling and impactful. Lesson Structure & Length: Each session typically lasts 1 to 1.5 hours, offering ample time for us to explore both the creative and personal aspects of your work. I create a collaborative environment where we can take notes, discuss ideas, and develop your story at a comfortable pace. Together, we’ll work through any areas of difficulty, helping you connect with the emotional core of your narrative.
