About Valerie
Pitch control is often much easier than you think if you stop overthinking the mechanics. You do not need to be a natural prodigy to develop a resonant tone or extend your range.
I offer support for self-taught players and teens who need a bit of structure to reach their goals. We look at belting technique, sight singing, and genre styling for pop or musical theater. My degree in music allows me to explain how your breath and posture interact with your sound.
You gain confidence by performing in a safe space. It gets easier.

You probably think your voice has a hard limit, but you are likely just holding back. I spent 13 years gigging in Montreal, learning how to command a room while playing guitar and singing simultaneously. Having worked with 217 students, I understand the nerves that come with stepping up to a microphone.
My job is to help you clear those hurdles. Singing is mostly about managing your own stage fear. I keep things chill, encouraging, and very direct. It is a process of discovery.
