About Maryam

I am new to online tutoring but have been tutoring through word of mouth for the past 5 years. This speaks volumes with how pleased my clients were and how well they excelled in what they thought they couldn't do. I believe the key to good grades is all about confidence and effort but also the way in which you are taught. Many people fall out of love with a subject due to their teacher. I want to make sure that the teaching style works for you by regularly checking progress, asking clients what they think works for them, and making sure that their targets will be hit ahead of time, to ensure exam practice is scheduled in. Mostly, I want all clients to look forward to sessions as they know they are doing well. This is something I have enjoyed whilst going through school and uni.

About the lesson

I use a combined approach of exam style questions as well as personally developed resources to teach areas not well understood. I have used this method to get clients the grades they want but to also re-introduce interest into the subjects so that revision and studying is no longer a chore. I typically do 1-2 hours sessions depending on the client, and this can be weekly with 1-3 sessions a week. I have near perfect GCE and IB scores, and a bachelors degree in Chemistry as well as a Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering. I can therefore teach a range of Science and Maths related subjects to all levels and ages. I have previously worked with clients who are completing GCSEs and A-Levels/IB.
