About Mariana
Ambitious Brazilian ballet dancer perusing a professional career in a ballet company.
I’m 21 years old, I’ve been dancing for the past 15 years and I’m currently a dancer in a pre professional ballet company in Vancouver.
I started teaching when I was 15 years old and it was one of the things that I used to love the most! I continued teaching ballet and tap dance (and even jazz dance for a couple years) for kids from 3 years old to 12 for 6 years, only stopping in October 2021, when I moved to Canada.
I can say that I get along with kids very well, besides that I love working with them!
I work part-time as a hostess at Browns Socialhouse, but I’d love to also teach because that’s what I really love to do, besides dancing!

I use the Royal Academy of Dance method for ballet and the American style for tap dance.
For the baby class level I use a very easy and playful language that they can both learn and have fun at the same time. I started little by little introducing the steps by telling them stories that they can be a part of it, practicing not only the ballet steps, but also the expressions, motor skills and coordination, and more!
For the older, I follow the official syllabus, with some adaptation in each grade if needed.
And the tap dance, I give the same importance for both steps and motor coordination. I teach a few of theses exercises prior de tap dancing steps themselves because they are as important as.
