About Lucy

Alongside my studies, I like to make crocheted items! I make plushies, clothes and granny square projects quite often, having a strong passion for them. I used to run a crochet enrichment back in my days at college - a space where people could learn to crochet. If they already could, it was a space to find like-minded people who enjoyed the same crafts as them, share projects and have a good natter. I taught a number of members to crochet before I had to leave. I also have an Instagram, where I (try to remember to) post my projects and any orders I have had from friends and family.

About the lesson

In these lessons, I will provide a tailored session to teaching you the basics of crochet in order to create a variety of projects. Everything is led by you - once I have taught you the basics, I can help you progress further with patterns, freehand projects and more. The sky is the limit! I will begin by teaching you the fundamentals of crochet, which are involved in any project you may find: - chain, slip stitch and magic circles - single, double, triple crochet - increase, decrease and counting I will also be showing you handy sites and shops you can use as a crocheter to resource patterns, materials and tools. This is all involved in the taster session!

I think Lucy would make an incredible law tutor. She has experience as being course representative at university, being the voice for a whole cohort of students. She is, without question, the most trustworthy, reliable, and capable person I know. She’s always the individual people go to when they’re struggling, and she explains things so clearly and patiently, never making anyone feel small for asking questions.

As someone who’s genuinely aspiring to work in academia, this would be the perfect opportunity for her to gain experience, and for others to be supported by one of the kindest, most understanding and patient individuals I’ve ever met. Lucy takes everything she does seriously and to the highest possible standard, and I couldn’t recommend her more!
