About Lane

As a Master's student of English Linguistics specialising in etymology / historical linguistics (ie. the relationship between English and German), I know firsthand the challenges of learning German as a monolingual, and can share with you the tips and tricks I learnt over the last 10 years of studying the language myself. Although it might not look like it at first, English and German have a lot in common, and we can wield these similarities to our advantage, and be having conversations in no time.

I love helping my students to come to truly understand new concepts and make true progress in a way that doesn't feel laborious. With me as your tutor, time will fly and you'll be speaking German in no time.

About the lesson

If you're looking for a German tutor with a highly efficient yet friendly, relaxed approach you've found your guy! I can tutor at any level from A1 (beginner) to B1 (intermediate), including but certainly not limited to vocab, pronunciation, grammar, spelling, and test prep.

I typically start with a student by getting to know their learning style and prior knowledge, then adjust my lesson plans accordingly so that each and every student gets exactly the help they need, even if they don't know it!
