About Doğa

I am a professional videographer and editor. I have a post grad diploma in documentary filmmaking. I teach as a hobby because I enjoy teaching people new stuff and I love sharing my passion with others. I may not be available all the time due to my workload, however, if this feels like a good match, shoot me a message and we can arrange the dates!

About the lesson

My classes are aimed for beginners with no or very little experience in photography. Adults and high school students are both welcome. We will start with the basics such as controls and principals(exposure, white balance etc) and we will continue with lenses and gear, basic lighting, visual composition and colour theory in the following lessons. I can offer you a reading list as well as a watching list and may give you assignments if you like. After the end of a 10 hour(4 weeks) training course you are expected to: Use a DSLR/SLR independently. Have an intermediate understanding of lenses, photographic films and other gear. Have a basic understanding of lighting, composition and colour. Have basic or advanced (depends on how much you would like to read) knowledge about the history and aesthetics of photography as an art form. And many little tricks and tips for possible future situations. **Buckle up! It will be a hands on experience. So it’s important that you have or have access to a DSLR or a mirrorless camera or a film camera**

Perfect! Excellent Tutor! I approached Doga as a total beginner to photography and film, but I've always wanted to learn. Doga is incredibly knowledgeable and very good at explaining things from multiple perspectives; technically, creatively and academically. I have already learned so much from one lesson. He broke things down so I could understand them, took things at my pace, has given me resources to expand my learning - I'm already feeling so much more confident with my camera. For any cancellations until 48 hours prior to the class,there is no cancellation fee! You will recieve a full refund.
For any cancellations until 24 hours prior to the class, there is a $16/h cancellation fee.
