About Hyeyun

Hello! My name is Hyeyun Kim (Yuni), and I am a pianist and piano teacher from South Korea currently living in Glasgow.

I have been teaching piano for more than 10 years, mainly working with children and young adults. Teaching music has always been my passion, and I love helping students discover the joy of playing the piano.

I studied Music Composition and Music Education and completed a Master’s degree in music. Since moving to the UK, I have been working towards becoming a music teacher in Scotland. I am registered with the General Teaching Council for Scotland and have clearance through the Protecting Vulnerable Groups Scheme, which is required for working with children.

I enjoy many kinds of music, especially K-pop, and I love sharing music from different cultures with my students.

As a teacher, I am patient, kind, and a good listener. I believe that every student can learn music when they feel supported and encouraged.

About the lesson

I offer friendly and structured piano lessons for children and beginners in Glasgow. My lessons focus on building strong fundamentals while keeping learning enjoyable and motivating.

Students can learn a variety of music styles, including classical pieces and popular songs. If you love K-pop, you can also learn how to play your favourite K-pop songs on the piano.

I have over 10 years of teaching experience and specialise in teaching children and young beginners. My lessons are patient, supportive, and tailored to each student’s level and goals.

I hold a Master’s degree in Music Composition and studied Music Education. In the UK, I am registered with the General Teaching Council for Scotland (GTCS) and the Protecting Vulnerable Groups Scheme (PVG), which allows me to work safely with children.

My goal is to help students enjoy music, build confidence, and develop their piano skills step by step.
