About Najibah

I have been teaching piano for two years and two of my students who have taken an exam passed with Merit. I have passed my ABRSM Grade 8 with Distinction and am currently working towards my ARSM in piano. With all students I aim to teach music reading and basic technique while also building up a good repertoire of pieces.

About the lesson

Hello, I am a friendly musician keen to share my passion for the piano with beginner pianists, particularly children who want to get a feel for this wonderful instrument. I offer 30 minute (£10) and 1 hour (£20) lessons on my piano at home. With 10 years playing experience, I know that enjoyment of the piano comes first! I have been teaching piano for two years. As such, I work with my students to tailor the lessons to their individual needs and help them reach their goals whether that be playing for leisure or for graded exams. I appreciate that everybody has a different learning style so I will find a method of teaching that works best for you.

I offer preparation for graded exams for ABRSM and Trinity which include scales, pieces from a selection provided by the exam board, sight reading and aural training - from Prep tests up to Grade 3.

For younger children I offer a more game-based approach to learning to build their musical foundations and encourage them to explore music for themselves. I can then build on that foundation to progress with the student.
