About Neil
I am currently a student at Berklee College of Music, where I look forward to majoring in Music Production and Engineering. Prior to Berklee, I studied Music as a High Level subject, as part of the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program, where I developed a strong foundation in music theory, analysis, composition and more.
As a singer-songwriter and Spotify-verified artist, I am passionate about both the academic and practical sides of music. My debut single has amassed a little more than 15k streams on Spotify and thus, having released original music on streaming platforms, I understand how music theory continues to shape modern songwriting and production. My experience spans songwriting, vocal performance, music production, and music theory, allowing me to connect theoretical concepts to real-world musical applications.
I also hold a Trinity College London Rock & Pop Grade 8 Vocals certification.
Whether you are completely new to music theory or looking to strengthen your musical foundations, I aim to create a welcoming and supportive learning environment where students can build confidence, curiosity, and a deeper understanding of the thing that connects us all.

Having studied music theory formally through both the IB Diploma Programme and at Berklee College of Music, I have developed a strong understanding of the subject from both an academic and practical perspective.
My lessons are designed to make music theory approachable, engaging, and relevant. Rather than focusing solely on memorizing concepts, I aim to help students understand how music theory has shaped the rich heritage of Western classical music and how those same principles continue to be used in contemporary genres such as pop, jazz, film scoring, and modern production.
Each lesson is tailored to the student's goals, pace, and musical interests. Whether you are a singer, instrumentalist, producer, songwriter, or simply curious about how music works, I provide personalized guidance and support throughout the learning process.
My classes are open to students of all ages and are especially suitable for complete beginners or those with little to no prior experience in music theory. Together, we will explore rhythm, notation, scales, intervals, chords, harmony, and musical analysis in a clear and enjoyable way, providing you with the essential tools and understanding needed to confidently kickstart your journey into the world of music theory.
