About Emily
The smell of rosin and old wood fills my studio as I gear up for another afternoon of playing music. I have spent 13 years balancing a heavy performance schedule around Boston with a deep commitment to my private students. My work centers on beginners and intermediate singer-guitarists who need a solid foundation in scales, modes, and reading sheet music.
I support returning learners, self-taught players wanting structure, working professionals, and curious kids as they find their voice on the fretboard. Whether you are focusing on strumming patterns, chord transitions, or advanced lead guitar, I provide the practical tools to help you succeed. Focusing on the song rather than just the parts is how we keep the music alive during our time together. You hear the crisp snap of a fresh string and suddenly the chord progression makes total sense.
I draw on my BM from Berklee to integrate improvisation and soloing into your practice in a way that feels organic rather than rigid. We will use power chords to build your confidence and refine your technique until the music flows without you having to overthink the mechanics. I include a practice module with every lesson to keep momentum high between our meetings. This ensures that you are constantly building on what we covered instead of starting from scratch each week.
We keep things grounded and straightforward as we refine your playing. It is just about getting you ready for that party or that recording session.
