About Lagantha
I am a piano tutor with over 10 years of experience teaching college students, dedicated to helping each learner grow as a confident and expressive musician. My teaching style is adaptive and student-focused, ensuring lessons match individual goals and progress levels.
I emphasize strong technical foundations, including posture, finger technique, sight-reading, rhythm, and music theory. To keep lessons engaging, I introduce innovative methods such as improvisation, composing simple pieces, and blending classical and contemporary music.
I also work on performance confidence and musical interpretation so students can play with emotion and clarity. I aim to create a positive and inspiring environment where students feel supported, motivated, and excited to learn. My goal is to help students enjoy piano, improve consistently, and develop a lifelong connection to music.

My approach to teaching piano is student-focused, creative, and structured. I aim to help students enjoy learning while developing strong technical and musical skills.

As a mentor and critical thinker, I guide students to understand rhythm, finger technique, scales, chords, and musical expression in a clear and simple way. Students learn to reflect on their playing and improve step by step.
Accountability is emphasized through goal setting, structured practice routines, and regular progress reviews. This helps students stay disciplined, consistent, and confident in their learning.
In addition to piano, I teach music theory, sight reading, ear training, rhythm skills, keyboard basics, and simple composition to support well-rounded musical growth.
