I use a variety of singing exercises and techniques, in order to create a healthy and strong vocal sound. My singing technique is useful for learning pop, jazz and musical theatre styles. I teach new vocal techniques, that are useful to someone who is interested in learning to sing in a popular style. I am a very easy-going and encouraging teacher, while keeping you on track of your goals.
I approach my classes with as much flexibility as the student requires. First I want to find out what the student's goals are with taking lessons, and ascertain what stage they are at in their playing, and we go from there in progressing in all aspects of playing and theory towards those goals.
My teaching is base on humanistic, behaviorist, cognitive, cooperative learning. I applied hands on and group discussion while teaching. My concern while teaching targets on every individual as every students learn in a different ways and so it is vital and crucial for me to understand the emotion and learning capacity of every individual learner in my class.
Method: Student picks a song and we simplify it (if necessary) until it can be understood. Following that, new musical concepts are introduced that allow for the student to play with more complexity.
Lessons in my studio are centered around what daily practicing should look like at home - technique, ear training, theory, and pieces. It is important that a student is able to comprehend all of these subject areas, and practice them daily in order to succeed. Depending on what level of experience a student may have, lessons are always tailored to each individuals needs.
A typical class where it is for leisure playing or for examinations would go down the following way: it would be one hour. - 15-20 minutes would go into learning notes / scales.
I fit my lessons to the student's needs and interests to keep it as interesting and fun as possible. I will also travel to you to make things easier. Feel free to get in touch if you're interested or if you have any questions, and I'll get back to you as quickly as I can.
I teach primarily classical piano and music theory. During a typical lesson we will explore technical patterns to promote coordination and dexterity, learn to play melodies and harmonies by ear, and build your music reading skills. Motivation is key, so I work hard to help students find music they love and adapt it to their level of ability.
My enthusiasm for children and music as well as my knowledge and proficiency in music pedagogy would serve as an asset to you. I structure each lesson based on the student's individual goals. For those interested in studying classical music, lessons generally include Repertoire, Studies, Technique, and Ear training.
