I am a Bharatantyam practitioner with a post diploma in Bharatanatyam from the prestigious institution Kalakshetra Foundation, Chennai. I also have a masters in Bharatanatyam and English literature.

About Dhanura
I am a passionate dancer who equally finds it happy to teach and share the knowledge I have received. Dance, for me stands as personal desire and it has paved various opportunities in my life. From getting trained under great teachers at the Kalakshetra and later pursuing my higher studies this journey has been special and gives much wider meaning to this life. I still continue to perform and teach along with my research in Bharatanatyam.

Children above 5 years and college students are my major focus. And happy to welcome adults who are interested to join this art form. The class will be a combined session of practical and theory along with essential knowledge of the dance form. That includes body conditioning, fitness and strengthening exercises. I follow the Kalakshetra style and use the techniques to teach that I received from my Gurus. After the completion of basic adavus(steps) , once the student is ready to adapt, I can train them to give occasional performances before they become completely ready for the Arangetram.
