About An

I studied Professional Writing and French Language and Literature at the University of Toronto and I have a Master’s degree in Professional Communication from Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson).

I have over 5 years of professional experience working in communications in various industries (universities, pr agencies, non-profits). My work includes: writing, editing, presentations, translations, strategy, resume writing, and coaching others on their presentations, interviews and writing.

As a graduate student, I worked as a teaching assistant for undergraduate communication courses, teaching classes and grading assignments. As both an undergraduate and high school student, I tutored and taught classes in French for 8 years.

About the lesson

My former students have described me as very patient, helpful, fun and good at explanations. Depending on your English or French level and what you are trying to achieve, I do an initial assessment and develop a study plan from there in collaboration with you, taking into account your goals, abilities and time you want to spend practicing.

My French tutoring approach can focus on:
- vocabulary and pronunciation as you read out loud with corrections
- review and practice of grammar concepts
- an opportunity to practice conversation
- Best for French students at levels A1, A2, B1

My English tutoring approach can offer:
- vocabulary and pronunciation focus through either practice presentations, reading out loud or free conversation (great for beginners, intermediate and advanced learners)
- at a more advanced level, I can help you with business focused English practice, whether that is working on a presentation, or even doing a practice interview and coaching you on your answers. This option is great for intermediate/ fluent students who would like to use English in a university or professional work.
