About Lucile

I’m a bilingual Frenchie and a native French speaker, and I love learning and teaching languages.

I’ve learned English and Spanish myself, so I know what it feels like to be on the other side of learning a new language: the challenges, the little victories and the excitement when you finally realize you’re making progress!

My passion for teaching French really started when I spent a year in Australia as an au pair. The family I stayed with asked me to teach English to the two little boys I was looking after. I absolutely loved watching them learn, seeing the differences in the way each of them learned, and finding new ways to teach: with music, books,...

Seeing their progress and the satisfaction they felt when they realized how much they had learned was what made me want to share my own language with other people too.

Since then, I’ve had the opportunity to teach French to children, teenagers and adults, and I’ve genuinely loved seeing each student progress in their own way.

For me, teaching a language is not just about grammar and vocabulary. It’s about helping someone communicate, gain confidence and discover a whole new way of expressing themselves. And honestly, I love being part of that journey!

About the lesson

Hi! I’m Lucile, a bilingual Frenchie and native French speaker!

I believe that every student learns differently. My goal is to create lessons that feel comfortable, motivating and genuinely adapted to you.

Before we start, I send you a short questionnaire to get to know you better: your goals, interests, current level, learning preferences and the way you feel most comfortable learning. This helps me understand what works best for you and personalize our lessons as much as possible.

I have already taught French to students of different ages and levels, and I have references from previous students: little kids learning French for school, teenagers preparing for exams, and adults preparing for international meetings or simply wanting to improve their French.

I welcome complete beginners as well as intermediate and advanced learners. There is absolutely no judgment in my lessons: making mistakes is a natural and important part of learning a language!

Depending on your goals, we can work on conversation, pronunciation, vocabulary, grammar, comprehension or simply becoming more confident speaking French.
I like using real-life situations and topics that genuinely interest you to make lessons more engaging and enjoyable.

Lessons are usually 1 hour long, but the format can be adapted to your needs.

I also like to have a short check-in with my students every two weeks to see how they are feeling about the lessons, what they are enjoying, what they would like to change and whether they feel they are making progress. Your feedback is important to me, and I want the lessons to evolve with you.

My goal is not only to teach you French, but also to make you feel comfortable, confident and excited to keep learning!
