About Veronica

Born and raised in Italy, I have been living in the UK for over 13 years. I have been studying (and loving) English since I was very young and recently I have specialised in teaching to adult learners.
Being a migrant means I have firsthand experience of the anxiety and insecurity that come with not only learning a foreign language, but getting to know and live in new culture. I know all too well how scary it can be, but also how much joy and satisfaction it can bring. It is indeed a great adventure

In 2016, while working full time in London, I obtained a Certificate of Higher Education in Business Management and Marketing. The experience of being a working student taught me to be respectful of my energies and efficient with my time, and now as a teacher I do the same with my students' time and energy.

Whether you want to learn italian for work reasons or simply because you fell in love with it, my mission is to create lessons that are useful and simple, interesting and fun. The atmosphere will always be positive and relaxed. No doubt you will make mistakes, but you will soon realise you have no reason to feel bad about it because not only you will not be judged, but you will also see how the mistakes can be the key to receive effective feedback.

About the lesson

What am I offering you?

• TAILORED LESSONS: You are the focus, that’s we'll study the
italian YOU really need.
• REAL LIFE ITALIAN - We'll study authentic language,
used in real life contexts.
• FUNCTIONAL, USEFUL GRAMMAR – I will never ask you to memorise
boring grammar rules. I will instead help you understand them,
so you can master them and use them intuitively.
• Add-on CONVERSATION SESSIONS (25 minutes, available depending
on level): high intensity, full immersion sessions to improve
fluency and listening.
• JOB INTERVIEW practice and & CV proofreading.

How can you do your part?

• BELIEVE IN YOURSELF – In language learning, there is no such thing
as "naturally gifted". Everyone can learn if given the right tools.
• BE BRAVE – learning a new skill can feel scary and uncomfortable.
Be brave and remember that only those who do nothig make no mistakes.
• BE PROUD – Language learning can be challenging and time
consuming. We all have busy lives and have so many things on our
mind all the time. And yet, you are here, you are showing up for yourself.
I am already proud of you, and you absolutely should be too!
• BE PATIENT – Be realistic, be kind and especially be patient!
Sometimes you'll get new things fast, sometimes you'll need a
bit longer. It's okay: breathe, regroup and keep at it.
