About Carol

I am a friendly, approachable and experienced MFL teacher with a lifelong passion for languages and different cultures. I am bilingual in English and Spanish, with a Spanish mother and English father, and spent my formative years predominantly in Spain. This gave me a deep understanding and love of Spanish language, culture and everyday life.

I have many years of experience teaching languages and particularly enjoy helping people build confidence and overcome the fear of making mistakes. Now that I am retired from full-time teaching, I would love to share my knowledge and enthusiasm for Spanish with adults in a relaxed and enjoyable way.

I believe learning a language should be rewarding and fun, and I am patient, encouraging and happy to adapt lessons to your individual interests and needs.

About the lesson

My lessons are relaxed, friendly and tailored to each adult learner. I am bilingual in English and Spanish, having grown up in a bilingual family with a Spanish mother and English father. I spent my formative years predominantly in Spain, giving me a natural understanding of both the Spanish language and culture. I am also an experienced MFL teacher and can help you develop confidence in speaking and understanding Spanish at your own pace.

Whether you are a complete beginner, preparing for a holiday in Spain, have a home there, or simply want to improve your conversational Spanish, we can focus on the language that is useful and enjoyable for you. We can also explore Spanish culture, customs and everyday life.

No exams and no pressure – just practical Spanish, friendly conversation and learning at your own pace.
