About Donna
Tuning and maintenance, lead guitar, and blues progressions are the core components of my technical toolkit. To be perfectly honest, I find the process of organising messy chord transitions just as satisfying as playing a solo. Working with 474 students over 9 years has shown me that every learner requires a unique strategy. Intermediate learners and kids often benefit from the structured approach I provide.
I frequently support working professionals and returning learners who need to break through technical plateaus. My sessions focus heavily on music theory and songwriting to ensure you understand the mechanics behind your favourite tracks. Reading tabs and mastering complex strumming patterns are essential skills for any guitarist.
I find it deeply rewarding when a student finally captures the right feel for a difficult piece. Seeing the lightbulb moment happen is the best part of my work.

We start by looking at your current technique to identify small adjustments. These tweaks usually result in massive improvements to your sound. Theory informs everything we do so that you understand the music rather than just memorising shapes.
