About Michele

Ciao! I take tutoring very seriously, so you will immediately note that I am very particular when it comes to pronunciation, grammar and spelling. At the same time, using a non-judgmental and relaxed approached, I will make sure to let you feel at ease and encourage you to try and speak in Italian from the very start. I provide material and assignments, I value your feedback and am always open to suggestions to improve our class, or to add content you are interested in or curious about. For online sessions, you will always be able to see and hear me, just like we would do during a live one. Communication is very important to me, and I am available off-line as well should you have any questions in between sessions. Last, but not least, I have met many people whose primary language is not Italian, and noted how they lacked Italian social and/or cultural skills: I will make sure to explain to you what is proper to say based on the situation or person you will talk to, what is normal to ask to an Italian and what is a "no no" for my people.

About the lesson

Ciao a tutti! All my classes are customized depending on your level of Italian. For first-time learners, I start by teaching the basics: alphabet, numbers, greetings and introductions, main verbs and their conjugation, genders of nouns and articles, etc. However, I will include actual sentences and real-life examples to make sure students engage with spoken Italian from the get-go.
For more advanced student, I like to discuss what their expectations and needs are. Are you planning on visiting Italy and want to make sure you can communicate properly? Or are you enrolled in an Italian course, and you have to develop specific skills and knowledge, to make sure you will pass the exam? Or maybe you already know how to communicate, but you just want to bring it to the next level. Whichever is your goal, I can help you reaching it with engaging and fun sessions.
