Hey there, I'm Bboy Cam, and let me take you on a journey into the world of breakdancing. My journey with this art form began a remarkable 14 years ago during my high school days when some friends introduced me to breakdance. Little did I know that this introduction would spark a lifelong passion that would shape my character and provide an avenue for boundless self-expression and creativity. As the years rolled by, I found myself engrossed in perfecting every facet of this captivating dance style. From mastering the top rock moves to nailing those gravity-defying headpins. It wasn't long before I founded my own crew, the Rising Starz Crew, and embarked on a journey that took me to local and national competitions, where I had the privilege of connecting with like-minded individuals who shared the same burning love for breakdance. Teaching soon became an integral part of my life, as I found myself invited to share my knowledge and passion at various dance studios. For the past 10 years, I've had the incredible pleasure of guiding dancers of all levels on their path to breakdance greatness. My teaching philosophy revolves around setting myself as an example – showing you that with determination and practice, you can achieve those seemingly impossible moves. I currently teach at two dance studios in Minneapolis and regularly perform for the Timberwolves games at Target Center. But it's not just about technique; it's also about instilling confidence and inspiration. I've worked extensively with kids who needed that extra boost to believe in themselves and their potential. Witnessing their growth and transformation through breakdancing has been a truly rewarding experience. And now, as breakdancing takes center stage in the 2024 Paris competition, it's a testament to the unstoppable rise of breakdance and hip-hop culture.
