About Louise
I am a drum tutor with 7 years of experience helping students from school, college, and professional backgrounds discover their musical potential. My teaching style is warm, practical, and adapted to each student’s needs. Whether a learner is a beginner or already experienced, I ensure they feel supported and motivated.
Students learn important drumming techniques like rhythm reading, stick grip, timing, coordination, and independence. I also help them explore musical genres, understand song structures, and create their own drum patterns. My lessons focus on both skill development and creativity. I teach related subjects such as rhythm theory, basic music knowledge, practice management, and performance preparation.

My drum teaching methodology is guided by Communication, Creativity, and Flexibility. I believe that communication is the foundation of good learning. At the start of each lesson, I talk with the student about their goals, their comfort level, and what they want to improve next. This helps us build a clear path for growth. I also encourage students to ask questions freely and share their challenges, so I can adjust the lesson plan immediately.
Creativity plays a big part in my teaching. Drumming is not just about hitting the drums—it is about expressing music. So I use creative exercises like building new grooves, changing rhythms, improvising fills, and playing along with different genres. These activities help students understand how rhythm works in various musical styles and develop their own unique voice on the instrument.
Flexibility ensures every student learns in their own way. Some students learn fast and enjoy new challenges, while others need slower steps and more repetition. I adjust the pace, teaching style, and exercises according to each student’s learning style. If a technique is hard, I break it into smaller pieces. If a student is ready for advanced skills, I introduce more complex rhythms and coordination drills.
Besides drums, I also teach rhythm concepts, beginner music theory, and performance preparation. My goal is to help every student become a confident drummer who enjoys learning and feels proud of their progress.
