About Jaskiran

Hi, I’m Jaskiran! I’m a Psychology graduate with a genuine passion for helping young people feel more confident in their abilities and reach their academic potential.

My background in Psychology has given me a strong understanding of how people learn, think and process information, while my experience working with young people has taught me that there is no single “right” way to learn. Sometimes a student doesn’t need to be told something again, they simply need it explained in a way that finally clicks for them.

That is one of the main reasons I want to teach. I know how much difference the right support, encouragement and patience can make to a student’s confidence. I love being able to take something that initially feels overwhelming and make it feel achievable.

I’m naturally friendly, patient and encouraging, and I want my students to feel comfortable being themselves, asking questions and getting things wrong without feeling embarrassed. Whether we’re working towards an exam, tackling a difficult topic or simply rebuilding confidence, I want every student to finish our lessons feeling more capable than when they started.

About the lesson

I believe the best lessons are the ones where students leave thinking, “That actually makes sense now.”

My lessons are interactive, encouraging and completely tailored to the individual. Rather than simply working through a textbook, I take the time to understand how each student learns, where they are struggling and what they want to achieve. We’ll break difficult topics into manageable steps, work through examples together and build confidence through practice.

For Maths, I focus on clear, step-by-step explanations, problem-solving and exam-style questions, helping students understand the method rather than simply memorising it.

For Psychology, I bring concepts to life using relatable examples and focus on developing strong knowledge, critical thinking and written answers. For A-Level and undergraduate students, I can also support essay planning, academic writing, research methods and understanding psychological studies and theories.

Most importantly, my lessons are a judgement-free space. Students are encouraged to ask questions, make mistakes and tell me when something still doesn’t make sense. My aim is not only to help students improve their grades, but to help them become more confident and independent learners.
