About Amaya

I’m a French tutor with over 3 years of teaching experience and a Bachelor of Arts in French with a Concentration in European Cinema. My lessons are immersive and conversational, designed to make learning feel like a real-life culinary journey. I specialize in helping students practice French through gastronomy and culture. We explore vocabulary for ingredients, cooking techniques, and restaurant etiquette in context. You’ll learn how to speak like a native — while talking about food, wine, and dining experiences. I love bringing French cuisine to life in my lessons, from Provençal dishes to Parisian cafés. My approach combines culture, language, and taste. Students often find that discussing meals and flavors makes grammar and conversation flow naturally. I create a warm and relaxed space where curiosity leads the way.
