About Warda

Hi there! My name is Warda, and I'm a high school senior with a real passion for helping younger kids succeed in math. I know that math can sometimes feel frustrating or intimidating; I've been there too. That's exactly why I take a calm, patient, and encouraging approach with every student I work with.

Through my volunteer experience as a peer mentor and teaching assistant, I've learned how to connect with kids, explain things clearly, and create a space where they feel comfortable asking questions. I don't just teach formulas; I teach understanding. I break down problems step by step, use real-life examples that actually make sense, and let kids learn at their own pace without pressure.

I'm reliable, responsible, and committed to showing up on time, prepared, and ready to help. My goal isn't just to improve grades; it's to build confidence so that kids actually believe they can do math. Every student is different, and I adapt my approach to fit their unique needs, whether they're falling behind, looking to get ahead, or just need a little extra encouragement.

Your child's success matters to me, and I take that responsibility seriously. I'm here to make math feel less like a chore and more like something they can actually enjoy, or at least not dread!

About the lesson

My teaching approach is calm, patient, and encouraging. I believe every kid can understand math when it's explained in a way that makes sense to them. I break down problems into small, clear steps and use simple, real-life examples, like sharing snacks for division or counting toys for addition. I let kids work through problems at their own pace, offering gentle hints instead of giving away the answer right away, so they build real confidence. A typical lesson starts with a quick review to see their level, then we dive into the main topic using step-by-step practice, and end with a fun recap game or challenge to lock it in. What sets me apart is my natural ability to explain things, my volunteer mentoring experience, and my approachable, no-pressure vibe so that kids feel safe asking questions and making mistakes. My lessons are for elementary students (Grades 1–6) who need extra support, want to get ahead, or just need a confidence boost in math.
