About Ozkan

I draw from my personal, professional and academic experiences to give students I help support theoretical grounding and cultivate unique student-led analysis. I understand that every one of us is unique - in our make-up and in our experiences and therefore to help achieve bold goals, we must combine our individual perspectives with academic understanding.

About the lesson

Hi! My name is Ozkan and I look at creating an inclusive, supportive learning environment tailored to each student's learning style to build confidence, self-esteem, and curiosity for learning. I bring my experience working as a Teaching Assistant, English teacher (TeachFirst) and in roles in the private sector to my approach to tutoring. I combine established pedagogical methodologies as well as novel strategies inspired by developments in psychology and well-being literature. My approach is to understand an individual: where they excel and where they need support.

Specialist: strong background in English, history, sociology, politics and philosophy.

Neurodiversity: experience working with neurodiverse students between ages 11-18 -Tailored lessons: customised lesson plans that align with individual learning styles and interests.

Proven results: students show improved grades, self-esteem and independent learning skills.

Subjects offered (GCSE, A Levels and Undergraduate Studies) - English, History, Sociology, Politics and Philosophy.

What to Expect? - Compassionate, patient and flexible teaching style - Practical approach to making the abstract and complex concepts more approachable.

Flexible scheduling, online or in-person options to suit your needs - Lessons can range from 30 mins to 2 hours.
