I have multiple years of experience teaching both sciences and humanities, including A level Psychology, A level English Literature, GCSE English Language, and GCSE Biology. Every student of mine who has missed significant numbers of lessons has gone on to achieve at least a strong pass, and I have also helped students to push into top grades (e.g. Level 9 or A** in GCSE English).
My approach to teaching GCSE and A level focuses strongly on using specific exam board mark schemes and specifications, which I found that many of my students were not being taught about in school. For GCSE and A-level, just knowing content is not useful without knowing how to apply it to specific question styles.
I teach both online and in-person for 1 or 2 hours, as tailored to the student's needs, and adjust lessons according to whether students are aiming to catch up missed content or achieve top grades. I can help with both content and general study skills, using psychology to teach effectively.
