About Gigi
Hi I'm Gigi and I am currently studying Natural Sciences at the University of Cambridge. In this course I study Physics, Biology, Chemistry, and Maths; I am truly passionate about science. Tutoring is something I very much enjoy as I love to help students of any age tackle problem areas, allowing their own enthusiasm and passion for their subjects grow.
I largely attribute my success in a levels to the amount of work I put in during the summer between year 12 and year 13, and would love the opportunity to help anyone else during this very important time. Having taken the new reformed A-level system, I believe I have particular insight in how to approach learning what may seem quite daunting quantities of work, easily broken down into manageable bites in order to achieve maximum success. With the sciences and maths, I feel that the most important thing is to have a solid foundation of understanding of each concept, to then be able to tackle exam questions and past papers successfully. Not just restricted to A-level studies, I would love the opportunity to tutor any student in such subjects.
I have previously taught science to children at a primary boarding school for two weeks, as well as working in a disabled primary school on a weekly basis for the last two years. I understand that different students require different approaches to their learning, and will tailor any tutoring to best suit their progress, focussing particularly on helping with understanding in any areas of weakness.
I am friendly, approachable, and supportive, and am extremely looking forward to working with you.
