I don't have a fixed methodology, it varies from problem to problem and student to student. I can pick example from any discipline just to make the concept clear and to create interest among the learners. In mathematics there is relation between problem and solution and we just have to find that relation. That is what I teach my students that how to discover the path from the problem towatds its solution
