About Zelda
Your first guitar session will feel nothing like a formal classroom. You might think reading tabs is the priority, but ear training comes first. We address barre chords and fingerpicking through songs you actually like. My degree from McGill University provides a solid foundation for our theory discussions.
Tuning and maintenance are often overlooked by beginners and veterans alike. I share the reality of playing in a working band. You can bring your own gear to the studio or use mine. We will focus on the mechanics of your hand position to avoid fatigue.
Grade exam prep is available if you want a clear metric for your skill. Let us see where your playing goes.

My degree is a Bachelor of Arts in Music from McGill University. You deserve a teacher who treats your progress as a practical project.
13 years of experience shaped the way I present the fretboard. I have guided 497 students through the complexities of improvisation and music theory. You might be a working professional or a returning learner.
Self-taught players often lack the structure I provide in my sessions. Kids and intermediate learners form the bulk of my regular roster. My background as a working session player keeps my methods grounded. It is a straightforward path to improvement.
