My teaching approach for Violin, Music Theory, and Ear Training focuses on helping students build strong technique through steady, personalized guidance. I believe consistent practice paired with genuine encouragement is the foundation of real musical progress.
Adaptability shapes how I run each session. Every student develops at their own pace, so I adjust the focus and speed of lessons based on how they are progressing, spending extra time on bow control or intonation when needed.
Encouragement is something I bring to every lesson. Violin can feel challenging at first, especially with posture and finger placement, so I make sure to recognize small wins and keep students motivated through each stage of learning.
Discipline also shapes my teaching, since steady practice habits make the biggest difference in technical growth. I help students build simple, manageable practice routines they can follow between lessons.
My sessions begin with posture, bow hold, and finger positioning, followed by scales and simple melodies to build muscle memory. I introduce music theory basics early, including rhythm and note reading, to support overall musical understanding.
As students advance, I focus on intonation, tone quality, and more complex bowing techniques, along with ear training to sharpen their sense of pitch. For performance focused students, I also work on stage presence and expression.
I shape my teaching around each student's personal goals, whether they are playing for enjoyment, preparing for exams, or building long term skill. My aim is to create a steady, encouraging space where every violin student grows with confidence.
