About Erik
I am a recent UVic graduate, with a bachelor's of science in biology/neurobiology.
I have been tutoring and teaching since a young age, starting with sailing lessons and math.
I am easygoing and professional, as well as passionate about learning. I like to inspire students, rather than just teach them. I think that even the most stubborn students can become very interested in a subject, they just need to be shown WHY it is important.

Hi!
My name is Erik, and I am a tutor in multiple subjects including math and science. My unique approach doesn't just prepare my students for the upcoming test, though it does that as well. I take pride in helping my students understand WHY the subject matters, and how learning now will make their life easier in the future. As a recent student, I can relate to students. Often, better than teachers and parents can. This allows me to discuss these subjects in a way that helps students become comfortable with them, and sometimes my genuine enthusiasm for the subject makes students realize how interesting these subjects are.
