My teaching is very interactive - I don't want to provide answers to students, but instead help them find the answers themselves. My goal is to identify the underlying knowledge that is missing - sometimes it is a missing key step on how to set up the problem, other times it is a missing piece of information from several grades past, or maybe its an algebraic trick that is missing.
I tailor my lessons to what each individual client needs, so at the first meeting, we will discuss what you want to improve in your writing. In our lessons, we will work on your desired writing projects together, learning about grammar, organization, or research along the way. Sometimes we will read others' writing for examples and inspiration as well.
My teaching methods are simple, organized and adaptable. I do an introductory session to familiarize the class, building collaborative online learning communities . I focus on strengthening weak areas so students can retain and learn at their own pace, while taking charge of their own learning (student centered). I facilitate primary, secondary and tertiary.
I offer students a personalized learning experienced developed to improve existing abilities, and to both introduce and master key tasks and knowledge. I will introduce both practical and non practical knowledge to aid students in their development.
I love sharing my knowledge and building a good relationship with my students. My teaching style is based on discussions and giving personalized attention to each of my student's needs. I am open to giving classes to the students at all levels from high school to graduate.
I begin with a lesson and provide several examples and clear steps to solve the problem. I offer ample opportunities of scaffolding. I think it is important to EXPLAIN the WHY. Then encourage independent practise until Mastery & introduce application problems.
I prepare the subject focused in the syllabus that the students have to meet. I link contents to provide related knowledge, not only with the subject itself but with other subjects of the degree or course. In the long term this system motivates and let students to keep a long term memory of the most important parts.
I have experience working in large classes of 21-23 students but have also worked with students in smaller groups. I like to have an open classroom where there is the possibility of experiential learning. I would ideally be tutoring Middle School students and High School students one on one or in small groups.
My classes are relaxed and fun! I use multi-media to help you visualize what you are learning. Every student has their own way of learning so I am adaptable. I teach students from the ages of 4 + and can also teach in a classroom setting.
My teaching methods incorporate learning music through the lens of a variety of fields. Music is a language and performance should be approached from the perspective of wanting to learn how to express a thought or an idea. Physics and science help us to understand how the sounds we make exist. Psychology and neurology offer infinite insight into how and why it is we perceive music the way we do.
While there are many harm reduction strategies to choose from, I have seen most success in the adherence and application of the 12 step model. The combination of cognitive behavioural therapy and spirituality a lasting power that many other methodologies can't compete with.
I love to teach one-on-one but am flexible with group work as well. We will talk through assignments, set goals, work through problems and do homework together. Get ready for college application season this fall! We can tackle long essays together and work through short answer questions so you're ready to meet application deadlines.
My tutoring methods revolve around what you need help with, any questions you may have or concepts that are not making sense. It helps if you come to me with certain things that we can go over, like an assignment or your notes from class, and from there we can clear up any confusion about the concepts and figure out a study plan that will work for you.
My classes will be a combination of information and activities oriented toward enhancing your learning. As so much of this learning is about personal experience, using student's narratives (their stories), articles, other people's experiences, and online resources will be applied to enrich the information and learning.
My philosophy to teaching relies heavily on the relationship between instructor and learner. Each person will learn in a unique way and that through conversation and understanding each other, substantial learning can be had. Lessons with me are intended to be casual, conversational and most importantly fun. Therefore some conversational base knowledge will help.
I focus on interactive and adaptive learning techniques that are currently being researched within our Physics department at UNC. I am very vocal and engaging, meanwhile being kind and understanding. I have experience teaching in multiple countries, with children, teenagers, undergraduates and young professionals of all ages and backgrounds both in English and Spanish.
I teach concepts and techniques in an easy to understand manner. I have two younger brothers whom I've helped many, many times in the past. In fact I'm currently tutoring my youngest brother Adam through Grade 9 math. I have also tutored friends and peers over the years whenever they've needed help, at a highschool and first year college level. I can prepare students for tests and quizzes.
I always adjust my lessons based on student needs. I use SMART goals and have a variety of diagnostics to start, no matter what age or level. I plan my lessons with the student's goals and specific needs in mind in order to achieve their desired language skills efficiently.
I teach with a relaxed, calm approach. Students are able to move with their intuition, following my guidance and cues. I teach both relaxing and energizing classes/yin and vinyasa. I teach according to the energy I feel. No set postures.
I like to follow the school(if applicable) syllabus and try to explain each and every topic with time, care and examples. I personally feel students understand better when explanations are backed with examples. I try to assess students improvement by taking regular short quizzes.
My teaching method is fluid and organized, but I like to keep the lesson up beat and fun by using lots of examples to help students thoroughly understand the topic at hand, rather than just memorize them. My lessons are structured in that they start off with a brief introduction, background, and definitions of certain topics.
Solving problems base on real life examples and programming (coding) problems along with projects. - teaching the algorithm/method first - implementing it and validating it via testcases This type of preparation also helps in interviews and online/offline hackathons held on platforms like hackerrank, google code jam, etc..
My methodology is that I adapt the course to my students needs so that we focus on what they really want to focus on. I like being interactive with my students and giving them the freedom to stop me whenever they want.
I have no formal training in teaching/tutoring, however my patient, detail-oriented, open, and communicative nature would allow me to excel as an educator. Methodology would involve a student-centered curriculum tbd at the individual level. I am seeking to teach English as a second language.
My teaching is based on experiential learning. I teach to all learning modes - visual, oratory and experiential. For example, together, we learn about yoga, yoga styles, yoga practices and techniques. Students are then guided through physical practices of yoga. Different sequencing is introduced theoretically and experientially.
Analyzing the pace and capacity of the student. Systematic Explanation on how to approach the solution to a given problem. Breaking down complex things in simple terms. Explaining different things with examples. Engaging Student to think in different ways. Develop students thinking and problem solving skills.
I have a very flexible teaching method which can be personal or group classes. I mostly spend 2 hours per time with my students, sharpening their research skills and thinking/question answering skills. I endeavor to build technical competence in my students.
My teaching method is very flexible and structured to suite the needs of the students. I have taught students on an individual basis and in a group environment. My classes have been catered to a wide range of students from Grade 1 to Engineering students.
As an effective educator, I incorporate a blended teaching style; with an adaptive format I can tailor lessons to suit the student's needs. My lessons are interactive to ensure students are fully engaged. I value critical thinking, it is an important part of my teaching strategy. My love of teaching and passion for learning serve to motivate and encourage the students.
