About the lesson
I have over 15 years of experience in helping students attain a high level of proficiency in French and excel in Math. I work tirelessly to understand the individual needs of each student and evaluate their competencies in the initial classes. A methodology is then designed to focus on the areas of improvement while continuing to work on their strengths. In my experience, most students struggle with reading comprehension and grammar, hence are unable to effectively communicate in French. I focus on laying a foundation by working on reading skills and sentence formation, thereafter, I use 'dictée', along with multiple other methodologies as building blocks to instill confidence in the students and help them become functionally bilingual.
I also specialize in teaching students with special learning needs. Classes are designed to maximize the attention/engagement span of the student by the use of visual and audio content that is selected based on each student's learning requirements. Students benefit from this approach and excel in the language with a greater focus.

I truly love my profession as it lets me connect with wonderful students from all over the world. I am based out of a spectacular island in British Columbia, I love the ocean and the mountains.

Perfect! Perfect! Namita is an excellent Tutor. My 10 year old boy really enjoys working with her. I hear their experiences together and I can see first hand how Namita is assisting my son to improve his reading and writing in French. Perfect! The most important aspect of finding a tutor for me was that my daughter felt comfortable and trusted her tutor. That is exactly what’s happened. My daughter genuinely enjoys the time and additional effort she’s putting in, she finds Namita to be helpful and kind. Had to admit, it is hard to find a good tutor for the French language, but when we chose Namita for our son's tutor, my wife and I felt that we did the right choice. Namita's method to learning the language is better compared to the normal school system in our opinion. Her approach, methodology and knowledge level have indeed encouraged our son to like the language and excel with the subject. We highly recommend her.

My 6 year old daughter recently started French lessons with Namita in preparation for entering French immersion in September. My daughter really enjoys her lessons with Namita. When and why did you develop an interest in your chosen field?
I have always enjoyed being with kids. During my high school years, I got an opportunity to volunteer with Alliance Française to organize summer camps for elementary school students. That's where I developed a strong interest in teaching.

What makes you passionate about your subject?
It gives me immense pleasure to introduce my favourite language to kids of young age and being able to teach it to them so it stays with them all their lives.
I have observed students quit learning French majorly due to the complexity & richness of the language and due to the lack of adequate support. Over the years, I have developed techniques to make learning simplified, fun and sustainable.03
What do you like about tutoring? What makes you a "Superprof"?
Having years of experience learning the intricacies of the language, also working with kids for many years, I can understand the needs of each child and provide need-specific tools to improve their language.
Also, I not only prepare my students to learn the language but also to learn good values they can use outside of the class!04
Do you have any role models; a teacher that inspired you? Please explain.
This definitely has to be my French-language teacher who suffered a big loss including one of their limbs due to a road accident. This unfortunate incident never stopped them from bringing a wave of energy each time they entered to teach a class. Studying under their guidance was certainly inspiring and they were a big reason why I pursued to teach the language. I always try to create the same energy levels every time I start a class.

I believe my key to success is the 3 foundation pillars that I always stand by. These are my 3Cs:
