About Tessa
As someone who once struggled with math I know first hand that it is not something that comes easy. I believe in completing multiple examples because practice does make progress! I like to make my lessons challenging and engaging. When I was teaching in a classroom I was always looking for a way to make each problem a competition between me and the students solving them. Whether that is done with rhymes, escape rooms, or active centers I enjoy adjusting each lesson to your students goals and skills.

I enjoy bringing real world examples into math situations because although you will always have a calculator does not mean that you will know how to use it! I hope to show you that math is one of the best subjects because it is not subjective- you can always prove what is wrong or right when you are solving a math problem.
