About Chloe

Dear students and parents, I have been teaching physics and chemistry in middle school and high school for 12 years, training students for the DNB as well as the Baccalaureate. My professional experience is very diversified, I taught in various colleges and high schools in the academies of Créteil and Toulouse as well as abroad in an establishment approved by the Agency for French Education Abroad for 5 years. Rich in all of these experiences and well aware of the students' difficulties, I want to continue to support them as best as possible at home so that they consolidate their achievements, acquire effective working methods, regain confidence and give the best of themselves.

Specificities: I accompany the student in a positive, benevolent approach, by giving him self-confidence, the pleasure of learning, the taste for effort and rigor. A follow-up adapted to the pupil can be set up under the condition of a reciprocal investment of the pupil in the work. Physics and chemistry can seem difficult, yet with perseverance even the most hermetic students can succeed. Pedagogy is a passion and the success of my students a real pride. Teaching methods and techniques: It is essential that the student is active in his learning, it is the key to progress. I set up quizzes, practice speaking around the concepts / keywords of the chapter before approaching the exercises, formative evaluations to diagnose the difficulties, training on standard exercises, complex tasks to work on the methodology , reasoning and consolidate knowledge. The recurring difficulties of secondary school students are often linked to a lack of organization but above all to a lack of knowledge of the methods that allow learning effectively and over the long term. I try to work this with them, which is also beneficial for other disciplines. Typical course of a course, the different stages: 1) At the start of the session, I discuss with the student in order to diagnose the weaknesses following the last learning in class and thus target the points to be worked on. We also discuss the work to be done (homework, exercises ...) requested by the teacher, on the difficulties recently encountered. 2) I go over with the student the non-assimilated course points, the key concepts to master, we discuss, we wonder. We list the essential points of the course in the form of a mind map, a course sheet, ... the mistakes not to be made, the "traps" to be avoided. 3) We make direct applications to practice the course and master it. We are also working on the method of resolution: how to read a statement? How to proceed to its resolution? How to write? 4) Then I give exercises of increasing difficulty that the student will do alone to self-assess in complete autonomy in a limited time. We correct these exercises together and the problematic exercises should be repeated for the next session. 5) At the end of the lesson, a brief summary and summary: - Notions, concepts to master, - The main points of difficulty, strengths, - Advice and strategies for overcoming difficulties, exercises to rework. 6) After the session, in case of difficulty, the student can send me an email at any time so that I can help him from one session to another. Teaching levels: My courses are aimed at all secondary levels in physics chemistry from 6th to final with the preparation of DNB and the baccalaureate as well as in mathematics for college if necessary.
