About Joanne

Hello there! I have a Bachelor of Education with a minor in Art and have taught art to individuals of all ages, ranging from Preschool to Adults in a variety of different settings. I have also been teaching Paint Night style classes for over 3 years. In these classes, I break down a painting into step-by-step, easy to understand instructions so that even those with little to no painting experience can create a beautiful work of art! My expertise is in acrylic painting, but I am also familiar with oil and watercolor painting. Beyond painting, I am also a very creative person and can help you develop your skills in a variety of other mediums!

About the lesson

As the student(s), you can choose a beginner level painting that you would like me to walk you through. We can work from a photograph or I can assist you in selecting an image that is themed according to an upcoming holiday, your favorite animal, or anything else you'd like! We can also work on techniques and building the foundations for learning to paint so that you can create beautiful works of art on your own! We can tailor the lessons to suit your specific needs and goals.

My daughter got into making paper stuffies with her pals, but I thought it was a bit wasteful. Suggested she learn to sew instead. Been following Joanne on Insta, noticed she teaches painting, so I asked if she does sewing too. Joanne's been awesome, teaching my daughter to sew.
