About Katrina

My background spans both the classroom and clinical settings, which means I bring structure, accountability, and genuine expertise to every session. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Education from Texas A&M University–Commerce, a Texas teaching certification, and I am a credentialed Registered Behavior Technician — a certification that requires supervised clinical hours and a national exam.
I’ve worked with students across general education, special education, and ABA therapy for over five years, so I’m not new to adapting my approach to fit a child’s individual needs. I believe kids learn best when they’re engaged, so I incorporate hands-on activities and real-world experiments to make concepts stick — not just worksheets and repetition. Learning should feel like discovery, and I work to make that happen even in structured sessions.
Parents can expect clear communication, consistent sessions, and a tutor who shows up prepared. Students can expect someone who is patient, direct, and focused on actual progress.

About the lesson

I have a Bachelor of Science in Education and over five years of experience as a Texas-certified elementary teacher and Registered Behavior Technician (RBT). I’ve worked with students in home, school, and clinic settings across general education, special education, and ABA therapy — so I understand how to meet kids where they are academically and behaviorally.
I specialize in K-6 academics, learning differences, and behavior support. Whether your child needs help keeping up in class, benefits from a structured and patient approach, or has an IEP or behavioral goals, I know how to make learning work for them. I hold certifications in QBS Safety Care and BLS/CPR and have experience with a wide range of learners, including students with autism, ADHD, and other developmental needs.
My sessions are structured, consistent, and tailored to each student. I focus on building real skills — not just getting through homework.
