About Atharva
I’m a junior at Chantilly High School who enjoys math and helping younger students understand it with confidence. I’m also a member of the National Honor Society and have been part of Chantilly High School’s Swim & Dive team.
Having recently taken many of the same math classes and learned the same concepts, I understand where students commonly struggle and how to explain problems in a simpler, more relatable way. I’m patient, approachable, and want students to feel comfortable asking questions. My goal is not just to help students get the right answer, but to help them understand the reasoning behind it and become more confident solving problems independently.

I help students understand math by breaking down difficult concepts into simple, manageable steps. Since I’m a high school student myself, I understand what it’s like to learn these topics and where students commonly get stuck.
My lessons are focused on understanding the concept first, then practicing problems together, and finally letting the student solve problems independently with my guidance when needed. I can also help with homework, test preparation, and reviewing topics that may be confusing in class.
I tutor students in grades 6–8, as well as students who need help with Algebra and Geometry. My goal is to create a comfortable environment where students aren’t afraid to ask questions and can become more confident in math.
