About Emily
Bonjour! I'm Emily.
I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in French and a minor in history.
After graduating from college, I pursued higher education in French Language and Literature. Currently, I am seeking a doctorate degree in French and Francophone Studies.
I have 5+ years of tutoring experience in French. I work directly with students who need additional assistance with their French, be it class assignments, or simply have a casual conversation with them to improve their overall skills and encourage their confidence.
Besides tutoring experience, I also have 4+ years of teaching experience in university-level French.
Learning a new language is challenging, but it is not impossible. I love to see when students are eager to go out of their comfort zone and learn a new language! I want to benefit and encourage students as much as possible. If you need help with your assignment or simply just want to learn French because you are curious and want to expand your horizon, I am easy to reach!

I offer online tutoring sessions to college-level and adult students.
I believe that nowadays, we are so easy to connect through social media, and the ability to communicate is a vital key. Therefore, I use the Communicative Approach in the classroom and focus on helping my student develop a solid ability to read, write, and communicate. I always prepare lesson plans that introduce new grammar rules, but I always make it enjoyable and creative to make learning a new language fun.
