About Laurel

I am a highly experienced ESL tutor holding a Bachelor’s degree in English Language and Literature. With 11 years of teaching learners from diverse cultural backgrounds, I help students of all ages and proficiency levels develop fluency, comprehension, and confidence in English. About the lesson

My ESL lessons focus on developing all four language skills: speaking, listening, reading, and writing. Each session begins with a review of previous lessons to consolidate learning. Vocabulary is introduced naturally through conversation, reading passages, and exercises. Grammar is explained clearly and reinforced through practice. Listening comprehension is developed with audio recordings, dialogues, and videos. Speaking practice includes pronunciation, role-plays, and conversation drills. Reading exercises improve comprehension, vocabulary, and fluency. Writing sessions focus on sentence construction, paragraph writing, and essays. Real-world scenarios are incorporated to make learning practical. Lessons are interactive and encourage active participation. Homework reinforces skills outside class. Feedback is provided to track progress and improvement. Lessons are tailored to each student’s pace and learning style. Confidence-building is emphasised in every session.
