About Priya

I am a Chemical Engineering graduate with strong academic foundations in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Statistics, Precalculus, and Calculus, along with 7+ years of professional engineering experience. I am patient, approachable, and committed to making difficult concepts simple through clear, step-by-step explanations. I encourage students to ask questions, learn from mistakes, and build confidence rather than rely on memorization. Priya, like all my students, will receive personalized guidance based on her level, goals, and learning style. My aim is to help every student become a confident and independent problem-solver.

My Teaching Approach

I believe mathematics and science become much easier when you understand why something works, rather than simply memorizing formulas. As a Chemical Engineering graduate with professional industry experience, I focus on building strong fundamentals and connecting difficult concepts to practical examples.

My teaching style is patient, structured, and personalized. I first understand the student's current level, identify the concepts they are struggling with, and then build their understanding step by step. I encourage students to ask questions freely and explain concepts in multiple ways until they genuinely understand them.

What a Typical Lesson Looks Like

A typical lesson begins with a quick review of previous concepts and identification of the student's specific difficulties. We then work through the topic using clear explanations, examples, and guided problem-solving.

I gradually move from basic concepts → worked examples → student practice → challenging problems. During the lesson, I continuously check understanding rather than simply moving through the material.

For exam preparation, I also focus on problem-solving strategies, common mistakes, time management, and learning how to approach unfamiliar questions with confidence.

What Sets Me Apart

My background in Chemical Engineering and professional industrial experience allows me to explain mathematics, physics, chemistry, statistics, calculus, and precalculus using real-world applications and logical reasoning.

I don't believe in giving students answers without helping them understand the process. My goal is to make students independent problem-solvers who can approach new questions confidently.

I can also adapt my teaching style to each student's needs—whether they need help catching up on fundamentals, preparing for an exam, completing difficult coursework, or getting ahead of their class.

Who My Lessons Are For

I teach students from middle school and high school through college/university level, depending on the subject and curriculum.

I can help students with:

Mathematics and Algebra
Statistics
Physics
Chemistry
Precalculus
Calculus
Exam and test preparation
Homework and coursework support
Concept clarification and fundamentals
College/university preparation

Whether you are struggling with a single topic or want structured support throughout a course, I tailor each lesson to your individual goals.
